【摘要】:Itisimportanttohavethesulfurcontentofliquefiedpetroleumgasesatlowenoughconcentrationtomeetgovernmentregulations.Thepresenceofsulfurcanresultincorrosionofmetalsurfaces.Sulfurcanbepoisonoustocatalystsinsubsequentprocessing.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalsulfurinliquefiedpetroleumgasescontainingmorethan1x03BC;g/g.Specimensshouldnotcontainmorethan100x03BC;g/gofhalogens.1.2Toattainthequantitativedetectabilitythatthetestmethodiscapableof,stringenttechniquesmustbeemployedandallpossiblesourcesofsulfurcontaminationmustbeeliminated.Inparticular,cleaningagents,suchascommonhouseholddetergentswhichcontainsulfates,shouldbeavoided.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
