【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversauniformprocedureforradioscopicexaminationofweldments.Requirementsexpressedinthistestmethodareintendedtocontrolthequalityoftheradioscopicimagesandarenotintendedforcontrollingacceptabilityorqualityofwelds.1.2Thistestmethodappliesonlytotheuseofequipmentforradioscopicexaminationinwhichtheimageisfinallypresentedonadisplayscreen(monitor)foroperatorevaluation.Theexaminationmayberecordedforlaterreview.Itdoesnotapplytofullyautomatedsystemswhereevaluationisautomaticallyperformedbycomputer.1.3Theradioscopicextent,thequalitylevel,andtheacceptancecriteriatobeappliedshallbespecifiedinthecontract,purchaseorder,productspecification,ordrawings.1.4Thistestmethodcanbeusedforthedetectionofdiscontinuities.Thistestmethodalsofacilitatestheexaminationofaweldfromseveraldirections,suchasperpendiculartotheweldsurfaceandalongbothweldbevelangles.Theradioscopictechniquesdescribedinthistestmethodprovideadequateassurancefordefectdetectability;however,itisrecognizedthat,forspecialapplications,specifictechniquesusingmorestringentrequirementsmaybeneededtoprovideadditionaldetectioncapability.Theuseofspecificradioscopictechniquesshallbeagreeduponbetweenpurchaserandsupplier.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7.
