【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesrequirementsforthetransport,layingandcompactionofthoseasphaltmixturesconformingtoBSEN13108-1,BSEN13108-4andBSEN13108-5,describedinPD6691,fromthetimethattheyleavethemixingplantuntiltheyareplacedontheroadreadytoreceiveasuperimposedlayerortraffic.Italsoincludesrequirementsforpreliminaryworkatthelayingsiteneededtoensurethatthesubstrateisfittoreceivetheasphaltandfortheapplicationoftackcoatsandbondcoats.WhilethisstandarddoesnotincludeexplicitrequirementsforasphaltmaterialscoveredinotherpartsofBSEN13108orotherproprietaryasphaltmixtures,thegeneralrequirementsofthisstandardmaybeappliedtothosemixtures,inadditiontospecialrequirementsforparticularmixturesaslaiddowninindividualqualityplansand/ormethodstatements.NOTE1Theterm“asphalt”usedinthisstandardisthegenerictermusedtodescribethewiderangeofmixturesofaggregateandbituminousbinderindividuallyknownasasphaltconcrete,coatedmacadam,hotrolledasphalt,stonemasticasphalt(SMA),porousasphaltormasticasphaltandotherproprietarymaterialswhichareavailableforuseinconstructingandmaintainingroadsandotherpavedareasthatareonthemarketintheUK.ProtocolsfortheinitialtypetestingofasphaltmaterialsinaccordancewithBSEN13108-20TypetestingareincludedinAnnexC,AnnexD,AnnexE,AnnexFandAnnexG.NOTE2BSEN13108-20Typetestingdetailsthewayinwhichtheconformityofamixcompositiontotherequirementsofthespecificationistobedetermined.Thisissimilartoamixdesignvalidationorjobmixtrial.BSEN13108-20offerssomechoiceinthewayinwhichspecimensaretobepreparedforthepurposesofinitialtypetesting.Sincetheresultsdeterminedwilldependonthemethodofspecimenpreparation,asetofprotocolsshowingtherecommendedUKselectionofsuchprocedures,linkedtotherecommendedspecificationlevelsandclasses,isincludedinthisstandard.Inthecaseofhotrolledasphalt(HRA),requirementsarespecifiedforprovidingarough-texturedsurfaceonthesurfacecourseforskid-resistance.Thisstandarddoesnotincluderequirementsforasphaltincorporatingbitumenemulsionbinders.

【摘要】:Theexteriorbuildingenvelopeanditscomponents(forexample,windowsanddoors)separatetheinteriorconditionedspacesfromexteriorenvironmentalfactorssuchasheat,cold,rain,wind,noisedust,etc.Buildingmaterialsandcomponentscanexpandorcontracttovaryingdegrees,dependingonseasonalanddiurnalexteriorambientairtemperatures.Fluctuationsintheambientairtemperaturescanalterthesealingcharacteristicsofwindows,curtainwalls,anddoorsbychangingweathersealcompressionratios.Thermalexpansionorcontractionofframingmaterialscoupledwiththermalblowingduetotemperaturegradientsthroughtheproduct,andalterationsintheeffectiveleakageareasduetoweathersealshrinkageandcompressionset,canalsosignificantlyaltertheairleakageratesoftheseproductsinfieldserviceapplications.AirleakagetestsperformedusingTestMethodE283(alaboratoryairleakagetestperformedatambienttemperatureconditions)willnotaccountaccuratelyforchangesinairleakageratesthatmayoccurfromdimensionalchangesinfenestrationsystems,materials,andcomponents.Itisrecommendedthattestspecifiersconsultthemanufacturerforrecommendedtesttemperatureextremes.Thisprocedureprovidesameansforevaluatingairleakageratesoffenestrationsystemsundervarioustemperatureandpressureconditionsandairflowdirections.Itisalsoapplicableforuseinevaluatingtheefficiencyofweathersealingproductsinfenestrationsystems.Allairflowratesareconvertedtostandardconditionstoprovideameansofcomparisonbetweenmeasurementsmadeatdifferentambientairtemperatureandpressureconditions.Airleakageratesaresometimesusedforcomparisonpurposes.Suchcomparisonsmaynotbevalidunlessthecomponentsbeingtestedandcomparedareofessentiallythesamesize,configuration,anddesign.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesastandardlaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingtheairleakageratesofexteriorwindows,curtainwalls,anddoorsunderspecifieddifferentialairtemperatureandpressureconditionsacrossthespecimen.1.2Specifiedtemperatureandpressureconditionsarerepresentativeofthosethatmaybeencounteredattheexteriorthermalenvelopeofbuildings,excludingtheeffectsofheatbuildupduetosolarradiation.1.3Thislaboratoryprocedureisapplicabletoexteriorwindows,curtainwalls,anddoorsandisintendedtomeasureonlysuchleakageassociatedwiththeassemblyandnottheinstallation;however,thetestmethodcanbeadaptedforthelatterpurpose.1.4Thisisalaboratoryprocedurefortestingatdifferentialtemperatureconditions.PersonsinterestedinalaboratorytestatambientconditionsshouldreferenceTestMethodE283.PersonsinterestedinafieldtestoninstalledwindowsanddoorsshouldreferenceMethodE783.1.5Personsusingthisprocedureshouldbeknowledgeableintheareasofheattransfer,fluidmechanics,andinstrumentationpractices,andshallhaveageneralunderstandingoffenestrationproductsandcomponents.1.6Throughoutthistestmethod,SIunitsarelistedfirstinaccordancewithASTMCommitteeE-6metricpolicyandshallbeconsideredtheprimaryunits.Inch-poundunitsareprovidedinparenthesis.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
